Called DualSense Edge, the controller features changeable stick caps and back buttons, as well as replaceable stick modules. There are three types of swappable stick caps: standard, high dome, and low dome, and each will help maintain grip and stability. The two swappable sets of back buttons can be configured to be any other button input while the replaceable stick modules can be fully replaced. The controller also features multiple hardware and software-based customization options such as allowing you to remap or deactivate specific button inputs....

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and thatgamecompany’s Journey are free to download from April 15 - May 5 as part of a new Play At Home initiative announced by Sony. PS4 users in China and Germany will not get the Uncharted collection, but Knack 2 instead. The collection, as you know, includes the first three games in the series: Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception....

According to Deadline, the film will be based on a true story where a teenage boy who loves playing Gran Turismo wins a series of Nissan competitions to become a professional race car driver. The film is to be directed by Neill Blomkamp (District Nine, Chappie, Elysium), and the screenplay is being penned by Jason Hall (American Sniper). PlayStation Productions’ Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan will produce alongside Doug Belgrad, and Dana Brunetti....

In a post on the PlayStation Blog – as translated by VGC – the firm said that thanks to strong pre-orders for the eagerly-anticipated console, there would be no hardware for folks to buy on release. “Due to the high interest and many orders from users, the launch is sold out by the reserved amount,” the company said. “While there are still concerns about the spread of the coronavirus, we do not plan to hold events or sell PS5 at stores on the day of PS5 release in order to ensure the safety of customers, retailers, and staff....

You might be trekking along the edge of a rocky stream while listening to the water flow, only for the camera to pull back, revealing the vastness surrounding you, and suddenly a licensed song begins playing to capture the mood....

Tomorrow, Marvel’s Avengers sees the release of the Black Panther expansion, War for Wakanda. This is the game’s biggest content drop so far, but it left fans wondering about the fate of one other character that was promised, but never shown. That, of course, being Spider-Man, which was announced as a PlayStation-exclusive character well before the game even came out. Since then, we’d not seen the character, and no one really has a good idea of when he’s going to be playable....

According to an interview over at Nintendo Enthusiast, Nomura confirmed via translator that there are “no plans” to bring more Kingdom Hearts titles to Nintendo’s plucky little portable console after Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory launches on November 13. Nomura states that Square Enix has looked into porting the beloved Disney-filled RPGs to the hybrid console, but the publisher found the process ’technologically difficult.’ According to the interview, however, Nomura does believe that other games he’s worked on may end up getting ported to the console – though any actual details about which games he’s on about here are left rather vague....

According to the developer, the character you will play in STALKER 2 is Skif, and his actions will shape the new chapter in the history of the Zone. The short scene you saw takes place in the ruined school on the outskirts of the dead town of Pripyat. It’s an extremely dangerous place, and doesn’t seem to be quite abandoned. Skif is in a hurry though, as if something is following him so he doesn’t have time to investigate....

Bethesda’s Starfield was on show today during its joint conference with Microsoft where it was shown off with a brand new trailer that demoed in-game footage, demonstrating what Bethesdda’s overhauled engine can do. The story, set hundred of years in the future, is about hope – and what humanity can do once it breaks free of the confines of earth. “Starfield is the first new universe in 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4,” reads a note on the game’s site....

The Steam Game Festival: Autumn Edition is set to kick off on October 7 and run through October 13. News of the festival was announced by Geoff Keighley on Twitter and confirmed by Valve. Valve has also announced it is making the Steam Game Festival a recurring event, with two more planned in the first half of 2021. Following the Autumn Edition, the festival will return in February 2021, and June 2021....

A lot of what’ll make the biggest splash this anniversary is likely stuff we don’t officially know about yet, of course. We’re yet to have a formal announcement of the next installment of Final Fantasy 7 Remake or console versions of the Final Fantasy 1-6 Pixel Remasters; things that are obviously coming. We also lack a release date for Final Fantasy 16, which presumably will land somewhere in the ‘anniversary window’, even if it doesn’t quite make this year....

In the words of The Aristocats, everybody wants to be a cat, or so it seems. However, while Stray’s four-legged feline is at the forefront of the game, I raise the argument that it is not the Outsider that makes Stray wonderful. Jumping around as elegantly as a cat would, and causing as much destruction and chaos as one would too, is just part of the fun here. On the whole, Stray’s hook is the story of hope and friendship at the center of the experience – I’d argue it’s that which has really brought people together, especially given the tumultuous times that we’re currently living in....

The adorable exploration title drops you into the paws of a sheepish, ginger cat who’s found themselves lost in a foreign environment full of platforms, puzzles, and robots trying to mimic humans. It’s what the developer would call the “perfect playground” for a cat, as discussed in my preview of Stray. Recently, and just over a week before Stray’s launch on Steam and PS Plus, the trophy list for the game appeared on Exophase....

Street Fighter 5 Champion Edition is out now, with this game adding lots to the base systems of Street Fighter 5 to create the ultimate Street Fighter package this generation. Despite Champion Edition coming with a whole lot of free content, the in-game currency system is still in place and you’ll still want to figure out the best ways of earning fight money. One of the primary and most efficient ways to earn is still in, however - special missions that are delivered to players and changed regularly to ensure players always have something new to do....

Super Bomberman R Online will release digitally on May 27 for PC via Steam, PS4, and Switch. It will also be compatible with PS5. The release date for the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S will be confirmed at a later date. Along with the multi-platform release, there will be new in-game seasons for all platforms, including Google Stadia. Each season will last three months and bring new items, cosmetics, and a new Bomber hero....

Nintendo is celebrating passing over 10 million user-created courses in Super Mario Maker 2 by granting all players more upload slots. All owners of the game can now have up to 100 levels to their name, an increase from 64. The new course limit should help creators who frequently upload new levels. Support was added by Valve via the latest Steam Client Beta which was released earlier this week. The update supports the controllers both individually as a mini-gamepad and combined into pairs. It also adds improved support for the Nintendo Online classic controllers, added back in June. If you want to try the feature out, you will need to be part of the Steam beta. If you plan to use the controllers, your PC needs a motherboard that supports Bluetooth or alternatively, you can use a Bluetooth adapter like this one from Asus, for example....
