Kunimitsu, who made her debut in the esteemed fighting game back in Tekken 2, has been confirmed as the next character to arrive in the game when the new Season kicks off in ‘Fall 2020’. The Japanese fighter – who hasn’t been playable in a mainline Tekken game since her debut in 1995 – is one of two characters that’ll be added to the game in Season 4. The second character has not yet been announced. The Manji-Ninjutsu user will arrive with a new stage, called Vermilion Gates. This version of Kunimitsu appears to be the daughter of the original character, and for the first time, we get to see what the character looks like when she takes off her mask. Season 4 will also be making some widespread changes to Tekken 7. All characters are going to receive new moves, the ranking system is going to be updated, and an overhauled UI is going to be implemented in-game. ‘Tekken Prowess’ is going to be introduced to the game, too. It’s a new system that promises to measure a player’s skill across the whole game and will rank you based on your overall activity, not just how proficient you are with, say, your main character. Kunimitsu does not yet have a proper release date, but you can expect her to arrive with the Tekken 7 Season 4 update in ‘Fall 2020’.
